The Izalco Max focuses on the essence of a racing bike: explosiveness, efficiency and aerodynamics. Thanks to the razor-sharp carbon frame, whose profile has been optimized in the wind tunnel, you can beat the headwind at a bargain. Gifted seconds that you will gladly take with you on the hunt for trophies. The German manufacturer Focus has pooled all its experience from professional racing and built a racer that encourages you to get the best out of your body. In competition, during training, with friends or alone against the wind.
The 9.8 version of the Izalco Max comes with further equipment upgrades that qualify this aero racer for the top class. The ultra-light Max carbon frame is and remains an excellent basis. Additional weight is saved by carbon wheels from the cult manufacturer DT-Swiss, the absolute specialists when it comes to wheel construction. The seat post and handlebars are also made of carbon, and that's as good as it gets. However, the overall picture is defined by the shifting and braking components from the Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, which enjoy professional status with their incredible precision. The shifting commands are transmitted wirelessly from the cockpit to the rear derailleur and front derailleur. A new era has begun.
The highlight of the Izalco Max is the Carbon Technology frame. Thanks to the clever routing of the carbon mats on the seat tube, head tube, seat stays and bottom bracket, the frame is laterally stiff but dampens vibrations in the vertical direction. A perfect balance between stability and comfort. The geometry guarantees safe handling at high speeds. Thanks to the thru-axle system, the wheels sit 100 percent precisely in the dropouts after each installation and removal. And the brake disks are guaranteed to run without rubbing between the callipers. The frame and fork are a prime example of a clear, uncluttered design. With the help of the C.I.S system developed by Focus, the cables run from the stem inside the frame to the brakes and even through the fork blades to the front brake. You can also change the stem without having to open the brake lines. And a computer mount for Garmin and Wahoo devices is also integrated. A strong performance!
