The Focus Izalco Max 8.9 has everything that makes a modern race bike. In addition to numerous carbon parts, from the high-tech frame to the lightweight wheels, it is above all the electric Shimano 105 Di2 gears. A drivetrain that works with unprecedented precision meets first-class aerodynamics and power transmission. Technical sophistication with a very good price/performance ratio.

The Izalco Max focuses on the essence of a racing bike: explosiveness, efficiency and aerodynamics. Thanks to the razor-sharp carbon frame, whose profile has been optimized in the wind tunnel, you can beat the headwind at a bargain. Gifted seconds that you will gladly take with you on the hunt for trophies. The German manufacturer Focus has pooled all its experience from professional racing and built a racer that encourages you to get the best out of your body. In competition, during training, with friends or alone against the wind.
Ever since Shimano electrified its popular 105 component group, it has been certain that the future belongs to electric shifting. Here, the Shimano 105 Di2 refines the equipment of the Izalco Max 8.9 and lifts this racer into a new class. And rightly so, because the 2 x 12 drivetrain delivers shifting precision that is not a whit worse than that of Shimano's top groupsets. This also applies to the braking performance of the 105 disc brakes, which are also among the most maintenance-friendly on the market. The other highlights: Novatec Aero wheels with carbon rims and an Aero Carbon seat post.
The highlight of the Izalco Max is the Carbon Technology frame. Thanks to the clever routing of the carbon mats on the seat tube, head tube, seat stays and bottom bracket, the frame is laterally stiff but dampens vibrations in the vertical direction. A perfect balance between stability and comfort. The geometry guarantees safe handling at high speeds. Thanks to the thru-axle system, the wheels sit 100 percent precisely in the dropouts after each installation and removal. And the brake disks are guaranteed to run without rubbing between the callipers. The frame and fork are a prime example of a clear, uncluttered design. With the help of the C.I.S system developed by Focus, the cables run from the stem inside the frame to the components and even through the fork blades to the front brake. You can also change the stem without having to open the brake lines. And a computer mount for Garmin and Wahoo devices is also integrated. A strong performance!
