Early Rider Hellion X 24" - The ultimate trail-fully for aspiring kids

There is hardly any other bicycle manufacturer who, like the English company Early Rider, is exclusively concerned with the needs of children and young people. And certainly not in such a high quality! We admit that this quality has its price. But if you are looking for a mountain bike that is suitable for your child, of high quality and unique in terms of performance, there is no getting around the Early Rider models. The Hellion X 24 forms the top of the range and is nothing more than a full suspension enduro in 24-inch format suitable for competition. You can already see from the frame construction that the Early Rider guys have given it some thought. Because while single-joint rear suspensions on adult bikes have all but disappeared, they make sense on youth bikes because of their smooth running function. An RST suspension fork with 100 millimetre travel works at the front of the triple-butted aluminium frame. The complete equipment is as modern as on dad's bike: 1x11 drive with Shimano SLX gears, hydraulic Shimano Deore disc brakes, wheels with solid thru axles and fat 2.25 inch tyres. The frame is even prepared for the installation of a telescopic seat post.

Child friendly equipment and as little weight as possible

The early rider Hellion X 24" weighs around 11 kilos. Compared to an adult bike, this does not sound particularly spectacular. But you have to search a long time for that among children's bikes! The weight plays an important role here: on the one hand, children do not yet have that much power. On the other hand, their body weight to bike weight ratio is unfavourable. Compared to a child, an adult would have to ride a 25 kilo bike! Easy Rider does everything right here.

Our size tips

Whether a child's bike fits depends on two measurements: The inseam length (inside leg length) and the body height. The following values are for orientation.

• Step length: approx. 64 cm (= overhang height of the frame)
