There's no doubt about it, cycling through city traffic is a whole lot easier and faster on a bicycle. A bicycle like the CUBE Hyde, for example, is a simple and robust city all-rounder inspired by CUBE's 29 inch mountain bikes. Its Schwalbe tyres roll along extra-smoothly and quickly, especially in the urban jungle, and can be stopped reliably, safely and directly by the powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, whatever the weather. Its stiff yet very light fork promises maximum steering precision. And with the smooth, wide-range Shimano 3x9 gears, every city tour is child's play.

Frame details

The bike messengers of the 80s and 90s didn't ride mountain bikes in the city without reason, so CUBE also took its inspiration from its 29er hardtails when developing the Hyde. Double-butted aluminium tubesets form a stable, durable, lightweight and agile frame structure that allows individual retrofitting with racks and mudguards thanks to seamlessly integrated mounting points. It also offers enough space for two drinks bottle cages - especially on longer tours, this means you are always optimally supplied with fluids. Finally, a slim, stiff fork completes the frame, its speciality: crisp, precise steering behaviour combined with low weight and an elegant look.
