• Tubeless system: The TL technology is specially designed to adapt tubeless to the demands of road cycling. Easy to fit and reliable in use. Specially developed, the tubeless foot provides a special seal thanks to its shape and ensures a stable hold on the rim.
• Black Chili: The running properties of a tyre's rubber compound are largely determined by three interacting factors - static friction (grip), rolling resistance and mileage. The dilemma: If one of these factors is improved, at least one other factor deteriorates in return. A tyre with maximum grip wears more quickly and rolls more slowly. If you make the tyre faster or more durable, its grip is reduced. With the Black Chili Compound, a tread compound that is always based on the latest findings in polymer and raw material research, Continental has provided the cycling scene with a lasting answer. Depending on the area of use of a tyre, Continental adjusts the compound recipe specifically - whether for road bikes or mountain bikes, for time trials or downhill. For Black Chili, Continental refines special synthetic rubbers with proven natural rubber to create particularly high-performance tread compounds. Continental then adds carbon black particles to these compounds, which in turn are optimised in terms of shape and surface properties
