Excuse me? This filigree gravel bike has an e-drive? Honestly, we were quite astonished when we saw the new Cannondale Topstone Neo SL 2 for the first time. The off-road racer shows in an impressive way how far the development of e-bikes has already progressed. An agile gravel bike weighing well under 20 kilos is quite a statement. The Topstone Neo will put a grin on your face from the first metre. Especially when you turn off the asphalt onto your favourite forest path. The Mahle rear wheel motor purrs along almost silently and pushes you forward gently but vehemently. The most pleasant surprise: the Topstone Neo rides smoothly even above the 25 km/h threshold. Where other e-bikes become sluggish and heavy when the motor stops. The Cannondale even encourages you to keep pushing the pedal. And on the next climb, the motor provides support again. Innovative frame from the aluminium experts

The US manufacturer Cannondale has been one of the leading manufacturers in bicycle construction since the founding of the company in 1971. Aluminium frames have been built since the eighties. You benefit from the experience of numerous professional racing teams, which has flowed into the development over all these years. Both from road cycling and mountain biking. The frame of the Topstone 2 is superbly crafted and offers numerous well thought-out features: The special Cannondale OutFront steering geometry ensures razor-sharp steering behaviour. Internal cable guides protect against dirt and underline the tidy design. Numerous threaded eyelets allow the mounting of accessories, for example bottle cages, frame bags and mudguards. The almost invisible drive concept is part of the coherent concept: lightweight bike equals less energy consumption. That's why the range hardly suffers from the minimalism. The Mahle hub motor has an output of 250 watts and can be controlled via the integrated iWoc controller and a smartphone app. The robust Shimano GRX components were specially developed for gravel bikes and function reliably even under extreme conditions.
