The Cannondale Topstone gravel bikes are developed directly in the cradle of gravel sports in the USA. On the trails of Connecticut, you meet gravel bikers today almost as often as mountain bikers. Today cruising at speed over a flow trail, tomorrow start with small luggage to the weekend tour. The biggest update has been to the frame, where the rear triangle is now lower on the seat tube. This design improves the vertical damping characteristics of the frame triangle. An important factor, because on a gravel bike it is mainly the frame and tires that determine comfort. Ideal: the rear triangle and fork accept tires up to 45 millimeters wide. Another secret of a good gravel bike is its geometry. On the Topstone you sit upright enough for superior control, and sporty enough to really make speed. With the new Topstone, you're also ready for any bikepacking adventure. The frame offers mounting points for three water bottles and for a top tube bag. But that's not all: the newly developed carbon fork is equipped with threaded eyelets for lowrider front bags.
Already at the founding of the manufacture in the 1970s, Cannondale was one of the first manufacturers in the world to use aluminum in frame construction. A unique know-how, on which until today numerous pro teams trust, both in road and MTB racing. The Topstone impresses with a superior processed frame, which has many features of the top series. In version 2, the Topstone comes with CUES components from market leader Shimano. The drive with 1 x 11 shifting and the hydraulic disc brakes were developed specifically for use on rough gravel roads. Other parts such as handlebars, stem and seatpost Cannondale already develops for years in their own laboratories.
