Cannondale Habit LT 2 - The progressive trailfully in the new Long-Travel version

The Cannondale Habit series stands for lively trail fun combined with top climbing abilities and convincing downhill qualities. A mixture that goes down very well with most bikers. For the 2023 season, the Habit has not only been completely redesigned, but from now on there will be two different chassis versions in addition to the aluminium or carbon frame versions: Firstly, the classic Habit with 130 mm rear triangle and 140 mm suspension fork. The other is the newly added Habit LT (Long Travel) with 140/150 mm suspension. The LT is aimed at technically experienced riders who can always use a few reserves in rough terrain and on the downhill. In general, the Habit's geometry has been adapted to the modern riding style: The seating position has become longer and flatter, the seat angle steeper and the steering angle more moderate for more smoothness.

In the LT 2 version, the Habit comes with a RockShox Lyrik suspension fork and RS Super DeLuxe Select+ rear shock. Thanks to DebonAir air chambers and various character modes, the suspension can be tuned in no time at all. A sensible mix of Shimano components ensures a good price/performance ratio on the one hand and delivers more than solid performance on the other. The highlights are the Shimano XT 12-speed rear derailleur and powerful SLX disc brakes with 4-piston calipers. In-house Cannondale parts like the dropper seatpost make the Habit perfect.

Smartformed aluminium frame with Proportional Response geometry

The aluminium frame of the Cannondale Habit LT 2 offers the same clever details as the much more expensive carbon models. For example, the internal cable guides. They not only ensure a tidy look, but are also exemplary in terms of serviceability: thanks to the guide tubes installed in the frame, the cables can simply be pushed through when replacing them. With the Proportional Response geometry, the Cannondale developers ensure that every rider sits in an optimal and central position on the Habit. This is because the centre of gravity has an immense influence on the riding behaviour. This goal is achieved by giving each frame size its own adapted proportions. Even the kinematics of the rear triangle are designed individually for each frame size. Also new: All Habit frames are now equipped with a universal UDH derailleur hanger, which is easy to obtain in case of a defect.
