The Cannondale Habit series stands for a modern and playful bike style. An all-rounder with top climbing abilities and convincing downhill qualities. The 29-inch chassis combines 130 millimetres of travel at the rear with a 140 millimetre suspension fork that offers the decisive reserves in rough terrain. The geometry has been revised according to the latest findings and combines a long reach with a flat steering angle and relatively short chainstays. The result is a light-footed ride uphill with plenty of traction on the rear wheel. The philosophy works as soon as you turn into the first trail. Tight corners, fast steps, poisonous root carpets - thanks to the wide handlebars and the lowerable seatpost, you always retain full control.
The Habit comes with RockShox Recon RL suspension fork and RS DeLuxe Select rear shock in version 4. Thanks to variable air chambers and different character modes, the suspension is tuned in no time. A sensible mix of Shimano components ensures good value for money on the one hand and more than solid performance on the other. Highlights are the Shimano Deore 11-speed rear derailleur and the maintenance-friendly Shimano MT200 disc brakes. Cannondale's own parts such as the dropper seatpost round off the Habit.
The aluminium frame of the Cannondale Habit offers the same smart details as the much more expensive carbon models. For example, the internal cable guides. They not only ensure a tidy look, but are also exemplary in terms of serviceability: thanks to the guide tubes installed in the frame, the cables can simply be pushed through when changing them. With the Proportional Response geometry, the Cannondale developers ensure that every rider sits in an optimal, central position on the Habit. After all, the centre of gravity has a great influence on the riding behaviour. This goal is achieved by giving each frame size its own adapted proportions. The kinematics of the rear triangle are also individually designed for each frame size. Another new feature is that all Habit frames are now equipped with a universal UDH derailleur hanger, which is easy to obtain in the event of a defect.
