Cannondale Dave - At home on the street and in the park

When Cannondale announced a thoroughbred street and dirt bike for the first time last year, this news caused quite a small surprise in the scene. However, anyone who had noticed three years ago that the US cult forge had signed Josh Bryceland, one of the best-known freeriders, could have guessed that there would one day be a Cannondale street and dirt bike. Now the Dave is here - and it promises a lot of fun! Its range of use is clearly defined: Bike park, jumplines, pump track, flow trails and casual tricks in the streets of the city. And the style is of course not too short.

Playful handling with Cannondale quality

For a street and dirt bike, stability and robustness are paramount. At the heart of the Dave is its beefy Smartform C3 aluminum frame, which can take a beating. Geometry and angles are based on the playful riding style of Josh Bryceland. Agile 26-inch wheels provide high lateral stiffness. Since the Dave is a so-called Singlespeeder, ie a bike without gears, the frame has integrated chain tensioners on the rear dropouts. Also for stability reasons, the crank is made of CroMo steel, which is typical for a dirt bike. A Manitou Circus Expert Air fork with 100 millimeters of suspension travel ensures comfort when landing. From the factory, the Dave rolls on road-ready Maxxis DTH tires. Other special features: So that tricks with handlebar rotations are possible, the Dave - like most dirt bikes - has no front brake. At the rear wheel works a Tektro disc brake, which is easily controlled by cable. The supply line is long enough for handlebar rotations. And essential for dirt bikers, the Dave comes with grippy flat pedals as standard.
