Bosch ConnectModule retrofit kit for BDU37YY (BCM3100)

The ConnectModule is the hardware component required to be able to use the eBike Alarm service and thus significantly improve theft protection for eBikes with the smart system from Bosch. It is equipped with motion sensors, a radio and GPS module and its own battery. This ensures that the eBike alarm continues to function even if the eBike's main battery has been removed. The ConnectModule mounted under the motor cover uses its sensors to recognise movements of the eBike and initially triggers a local alarm. In a second stage, the current position of the eBike is determined via the GPS module, transmitted via mobile radio (LTE and NB-IoT) and displayed in the eBike Flow app.

Note on retrofitting

The ConnectModule can be retrofitted to eBikes with the smart system, provided the eBike manufacturer's approval has been granted in the Bosch DiagnosticTool 3 under the entry ‘Connect Module ready’. The installation and all repairs to the ConnectModule may only be carried out by authorised specialist dealers. Specialist knowledge is required. Incorrect installation may result in the ConnectModule or the eBike no longer being able to be operated in compliance with the law.
