The entry into the Topstone Carbon series. The gravel bikes from the Cannondale Topstone Carbon series radiate a very special fascination. Even on us, who deal with high-quality bikes every day. The carbon fibre material is ideal for Gravelbikes because of its damping effect. But Cannondale would not be Cannondale if the Topstone Carbon 5 did not come up with a real innovation: The traditional US manufacturer from Connecticut adds a new type of rear suspension to the outstanding BallisTec Carbon frame. This makes the character of the Topstone 5 a perfect mixture of sportiness and comfort. The carbon fork is ideally suited for typical gravel bike terrain, usually gravel and forest tracks. Tip: For more extreme terrain you should have a look at our model Topstone Carbon 3 with the new Lefty suspension fork. The Topstone Carbon 5, which is about 1200 Euro cheaper, still convinces with high-quality components, which have been specially selected for the area of application. For example, the gears and brakes come from the robust Shimano GRX Gravel group. And the in-house Cannondale parts such as crank, cockpit and seat post also enjoy a high reputation.

Revolutionary carbon frame with KingPin suspension

After four years of development, the US manufacturer Cannondale presents its new BallisTec Carbon frame for Gravelbikes. The rear frame is mounted on the seat tube with the help of a thru axle. There are also flexible zones on the top tube and seat tube. This allows the rear triangle to yield vertically by up to 30 millimetres to absorb shocks and vibrations. This means: more control, more comfort, more traction. Carbon layup and tube diameter are adjusted for each frame size to achieve the right level of stiffness and flex for each type of rider. The system is low maintenance and requires no setup. Internal cable guides protect against dirt and underline the tidy design. There are three bottle cage positions on the lower frame triangle, one of which is even variable to make room for a frame bag. Additional accessories can be attached to the threaded eyelets on the top tube. Ideal for bikepacking and multi-day tours.
